 How to prepare

 Heat the butter and milk in a small pot, over a low heat, until the butter melts and the mixture is warm. Put the flour, baking powder, salt and yeast in the mixing bowl, then install the dough hook and stir until the ingredients are mixed for a few seconds. Add the butter and milk mixture, and the egg yolks, and mix until combined, on a slow speed. Add the oregano, then knead for five to eight minutes until the dough becomes homogeneous, then add a little flour as necessary; So that the dough should be soft. Form the dough into a ball, then put it in a bowl greased with oil, grease its surface with oil, then cover it with nylon, and leave it for about an hour or more in a warm place until it doubles in size (fat doughs need to ferment for a long time).


Bring a rectangular tray or oven dish size (33-23) cm, then grease it with oil. Put the dough on a floured surface, and roll it out into a small circle by pressing it slightly. Cut the dough into 16 equal pieces using a knife.

Take a piece of the dough, and gather its ends down until it becomes a regular ball, by repeatedly pulling its edges down until it becomes a smooth ball. Place the palm of the palm on the dough ball, and move it clockwise in a circular motion, several times until its shape is regular. Put the dough balls in the tray; So that the bottom is attached to the tray.


Arrange the dough balls (4 x 4) in rows, until 16 balls are formed, and space them out evenly.

Wipe the balls together from the oil, then cover the pan, and leave it in a warm place for an hour or more until it doubles in size. Heat the oven at a temperature of 190 C, then put the balls in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until they become golden in color.

 Take out the Iraqi samoon from the oven, then put a light cotton towel on it, for several minutes, and then serve it warm.

How to prepare

Form the dough into the shape of fino fingers, then leave it to ferment again. Put the bread into the oven until doneness, then it is served.
